Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)

Your voice helps share the future of our schools

The LCAP serves as CUHSD's roadmap for student success. Through feedback from students, families, staff, and community members, we identify priorities, invest in programs, and strengthen opportunities for all students.

The LCAP serves as CUHSD's roadmap for student success. Through feedback from students, families, staff, and community members, we identify priorities, invest in programs, and strengthen opportunities for all students.

What is the LCAP?

The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a three-year plan that outlines how our district supports student achievement, wellness, school safety, and college and career readiness.

The LCAP helps guide:

  • Student programs
  • Academic support
  • Mental health services
  • School safety
  • College and career opportunities
  • Family engagement

Most importantly, the LCAP is shaped by feedback from students, families, staff, and community members.

What We Heard From Our Community

Throughout the year, students, families, staff, and community members shared feedback through surveys, focus groups, meetings, and discussions.

This feedback helped identify the priorities that matter most to our educational partners.

  • Students value counseling services, wellness supports, and safe learning environments.

  • Students want more hands-on, collaborative, and discussion-based learning experiences.

  • Families and students requested stronger tutoring, intervention, literacy, and math supports.

  • Students want positive relationships, inclusive schools, and opportunities to get involved.

  • Families want clearer and more frequent communication about programs and opportunities.

  • Students and families want expanded pathways, internships, and future-ready opportunities.

Our LCAP Goals

  • Provide all students access to rigorous academics, support services, and opportunities that prepare them for college, careers, and life after graduation.

  • Support teachers with training and strategies that help all students succeed through engaging and inclusive instruction.

  • Strengthen intervention programs and specialized supports that help students achieve academic success.

  • Promote wellness, school safety, attendance, family engagement, and positive school culture.

  • Recruit and retain highly qualified staff while maintaining safe and effective learning environments.

  • Provide wraparound services and targeted supports that help students graduate and prepare for future opportunities.

  • Students and School Resource Officers posing for a picture showing off their bracelets
  • Teacher showing something to student on laptop
  • Student shaking hand after receiving an award
  • student writing on the board while other student learns
  • Teacher providing student tutoring using laptop
  • Teacher surrounded by students putting together a robot
