2020 Open House (Back to School Night)

This year, our Back to School Night is being called and Open House and will be Monday, September 28th at 5:30.  Teachers will be live for virtual communication from 6-7PM.  Each teacher will have a recorded message to view as well.  Visit your school webpage for details.

When conditions improve and we are authorized by County Health Officals, we will move to a blended model of Distance Learning and in-person learning in small groups to maintain physical distancing.  If you need a Chromebook, please contact your school. This year, students must particpate in "Daily Live Interaction" and daily attendance will be taken and recorded.  The regular routine of school and learning is coming back this year.

State Seal of Biliteracy 2020 Recipients

El Centro Education Foundation Scholarhip Awards

In order to process your award, you must provide official verification or proof of enrollment from the college and/or university you will be attending, along with a copy of your identification in the form of your school ID or a Drivers’ License.  Please email your items of verification to  ctaylor@cuhsd.net so that the check can be processed. Include your current address.

Schools will plan the class of 2020 Alumni and families to plan a tentative date for Fall Ceremonies.  These ceremonies will include students seated on the field or in the theater, crossing the stage, photos and names read aloud.  They may also include fireworks.

There is great interest in planning Class Reunion events next year.  Class of 2020 Alumni and their families can plan a Senior Picnic, Dance and more.  Your school will assist in the planing for those events.  Contact your class advisor if you would like to help.

The State or our Schools 2020 Address was January 15, 2020 in the newly renovated Southwest High School Library at 6:00 PM.  Students, Parents and the Public were invited to attend. The IV Press covered the event and ran an article on Jan 17th.  Click here to see the article.
